We will be travelling from Toronto, Ontario to WDW in Feb 2005. We will be flying with myself, DH and DS (turning 3 while we are in the World). We will be landing at MCO and going to AKL for 3 nights, then Poly 3 nights, then Port for a 4 day Wonder cruise. I am trying to figure out how we will transfer and what kind of prices we will be looking at. My preference is to take a town car:

MCO to AKL - towncar
(internal tsf to Poly)
Poly>Port - towncar
Port>MCO - towncar

I think we will also have DSs car seat to lug around.

I like the idea of having our own transportation, being able to strap DS into his own car seat, and being able to arrive and leave the Port when we want to.

I guess my questions are: 1) am I crazy; is this just going to cost us WAY more than Disney transportation? 2) will it be a big pain to bring the carseat, maybe we can rent from the towncar company? 3) What time should we shoot for to arrive and leave the port (our flight home will probably be around 2pm) 4) Is there anywhere we can stick the car seat on-board so it doesn't take up too much room in the cabin? 6) any other suggestions to make this go smoothly for us?

Thanks!! :earsgirl:

No u are not crazy...

and u are at the break even point with 3 people and i feel it would be a better experience in the Towncar than disney transportation plus u can get to the ship Earlier with towncar service....

Dcl charges $65.00 per person for the route u need ...

i believe u can find a town car service for less..

suggest u look at this site for towncar options www.castawayclub.com

As for the car seat .. Well im not sure what have others done???

You are not crazy. Car service is a great way to go.

Go to castawayclub.com and Happy Limo has a coupon there for transfer service. There is also a car service company sponsoring this board. I bet they can all work with you. I would not, however, want to rely on the service remembering to bring a car seat. Bring yours and store it under the bed onboard or in the closet, or ask your cabin steward to take it for you. No worries.
