In my excitement over receiving our first 40% discount, ever, I went to WDW's site to check dates and rates.

I compared the rate seasons to the dates available for the discount. I saw that Polynesian states rooms available from $340 during value season. So, i put in dates for the value season, Sun-Fri to avoid Fri-Sat charges. The room rate came up at $460 for the lowest priced room.

Anyone know why an advertised rate of $340 comes up as $460. I know there are taxes and fees, but it can't be that much!

I will be calling WDW today to see what they come up with.

Was that a garden view? The lease expensive room available might have been a lagoon or MK view for your dates.

it was a garden view. it tried different dates that fall within the value season, according to WDW's site.

When I look at the disney site the cheapest rate I see for the Poly is 355 for the value season. I just tried to price a trip in August which is value season and did get a garden view room for 355 for each night.
