Hi All! I just booked a room-only reservation for Jan. 2-9, 2009 at the All Star Music Family Suites. I was quoted $275/nght. That seems really high to me since online, the rates look much lower for the time period I will be there. Any idea what happened? I took it, since I plan on cancelling and re-booking a package when it becomes available anyway, but I just can't imagine paying that much for those rooms. Do you think the rates for 2009 will really be that high?

I couldn't pull up the January rates. Maybe I don't know what the hay I am doing. But it does seem a bit high as I believe that is value season?

If they haven't released the 09 rates yet, they will quote the "highest" rate now, and then when rates are released they will adjust it. People generally feel better when the rate goes down as opposed to it going up :goodvibes

I entered a trip with a start date of 12/31/08 on the website extending into January and that's how I saw the 2009 rates. So I was surprised when I called and it was almost 100/night more!

I think the other poster is correct and the rates will probably be lower. I bet they just used the peak rate for the whole trip.

Thank you! I bet it will be lower when I call in August. :) At least I hope so!

2009 rates arent out yet. Theyre quoting you peak 08 rates, non guaranteed. Whatever season your dates fall under when the prices are released will be adjusted.

Thanks mbanks! I was hoping that was the case. I think the time we will be there should be the value season, so I am hoping for a good rate.
