Confused about parking options

My daughter and I wish to drive to DLR from her place in Irvine tomorrow afternoon. We don't have park reservations, just wanted to hang out in DTD and go to Tangaroa/TS's.

I have a MK Dream pass, which I don't think works for parking on a non-reserved day, is that correct? Since we're going to DTD, is there a parking lot we can use that is close by? Can you get validated parking?

Would there be any benefit to making a park reservation for myself for tomorrow, going in the gate and coming back out so we could park for free? And is the free parking only in the structure?

I'm wondering if using ride share might be the best way to go, depending on the cost of parking. It looks like it would cost $25ish each way for Uber/Lyft.

Thanks for any help/advice you can give. I posted something similar earlier but accidentally put it on the Community Board.

Dream Keys work for parking on non reserved days. But if it's not activated, using it for parking will activate it.

I have parked at Toy Story lot without a park reservation day and it was not a problem. I would assume that the parking structure is the same.

Oh, thanks! I had it wrong. My pass has already been activated so that's great news that I don't have to have a park reservation.
