Sorry for yet another question about FP+...

I am confused about people saying that if you have a large party that you can overlap times so that everyone in the party can still go together. I got my tickets today and was playing around w/ the system and I don't see how you can pick your times? It looks like they give you different options. Is that what people mean when they say to "overlap" the times? For example- for a party of 6 would it be easier to look up for two parties of 3 and make sure the times are close to each other? Or am I not understanding something? I can be a little dense sometimes....

Thanks for the insight... :beach:

It can be easier to search up smaller parties and find a overlapping time. For us, we have a party of 7 going, and finding 7 tickets for one time was difficult for rides like Toy Story Midway Mania or Seven Dwarves Mine Train (luckily we got seven with no problem for this when they released some this month).

However the earliest time for a TSMM for 7 people was 7pm-8pm, which would make us either rush out of the first showing of Fantasmic, or rush towards the second showing; and my family didn't want to do that. So we looked for a fast pass for the ride for the following - party of 3 and a party of 4.
We secured a time slot of 1:20pm-2:20pm for our party of three, but a party of 4 was showing times that wouldn't overlap with that 1:20-2:20pm slot. So I even went further to check two party of two. First time slot I found was 12:55-1:55pm which overlapped. The second party of 2 I found was 1:30-2:30PM.
So for all seven of us to get on at the same time our fast pass range was 1:30 to 1:55pm. Thus we have about 25 minutes leeway. A lot of this is definitely used for SDMT, Anna/Elsa, and TSMM, even Enchanted Tales with Belle. You can even try the copy method to see if they give you better options to help with your decisions, we did this for one ride and got a better time slot than what we were originally offered.

When you pick your times, and they don't match up. Go to edit the fast pass selection and try to adjust the times so they overlap. This was the easiest way for us to get everyone in our party on the ride at the same time, it did take a bit to adjust people until they had an overlapping though.

I hope this helps with some of your confusion.

Once the system gives you times you can go in and edit the times individually. Its a major PITA, but it is what it is.
