Confused about MVMCP

I got tickets for my trip in November. I thought I needed these in addition to park passes. After reading a few threads here, I am a little confused. If I don't go to the Magic Kingdom until 4:00, then the MVMCP tickets are all I need for admission? I do not need to use a day on the hopper pass? Can someone please verify this for me? Thanks.

Nope. If you buy the tix for the event then that's all you need to get in once they open the gate for the party.

That's right, you don't need an additional ticket, just your MVMCP ticket.

We arrive on 12/1, the day we're attending MVMCP. So we have planned to check out some of the resorts, maybe do some shopping before we go to the MK around 4:30 - 5pm for early MVMCP admission!

You are correct. If you do not go to the park until the party you do not need to use your park pass to get in.

if u upgrade to non expiring you pay the FULL price according to the tix you originally bought. many times it's cheaper to pay a one day tix then adding on.

Yes you can and it might even be better if you add additional days as well to max it out. Once you get past the 4 or 5 day mark extra days are like $2 to $4 per day.

Do you have dinner reservations. Most folks make dinner ADRs around 430 to get into the parks earlier that the 7pm start time for MVMCP.

In the past, you haven't needed ADRs to get into the park early. Typically, they let anyone with a MVMCP ticket in starting at 4:00.

I know that our 10 day MYW tickets are good for 14 days before they expire. Are you sure you need that non expiry option? We are also going to the party and will be arriving after 4pm and saving a day . Then later at the end of our trip go to Universal twice, perhaps Sea World and then Disney once more before the 14 days expiry clicks in.

I have tickets for the first night of the MVMCP, monday the 13th. I have an ADR for Liberty Tree Tavern for 5:00. I am arriving Sunday afternoon, November 12, and leaving Saturday morning November 18. We got 5 day passes, figuring the first night we would just do downtown disney. I guess we could use the passes and do Magic Kingdom the first night instead, I think it is evening emhs. Just when I thought I knew what I was doing. hehe. Thank you all for straightening me out.

No the park will close at either 6:00pm or 7:00pm .

MNSSHP it's closing at 7:00 and they said they were starting to check for wristbands at that point as asking you to either purchase a ticket or leave.

Yes that is correct the official park hours will be listed as 6:00 or 7:00.
