I have heard some of you mention Wishes fireworks? I wondered if anyone could tell me about that? We were planning on the illuminations as we didn't know there were any other options. Can you do a DP with this? What is the most cost friendly? :) Thanks!

You can hold a Wishes dessert party at the Grand Floridian Marina instead of an IllumiNations dessert party in Epcot. Wishes parties have no site fee and no food and beverage minimum, but you have to order off Grand Floridian catering menus that range from $27-$60 per person. You also don't have to pay viewing fees or charter transport, so this is probably your cheapest option. However, you can't hear the music to the fireworks, and you are looking at a side view of them. If you want the music piped in, it's about $700.

All these prices are exclusive of 6.5% sales tax and 21% service charge, so figure that in too. :thumbsup2

Another option is the Cali Grill although I don't know if you can have a dessert party there or not. We're having our welcome dinner there so the guests can watch the fireworks from the viewing platform thingy. Also, the whitehall patio (at the GF) has a view of the Magic Kingdom: it's somewhat limited of the park but you can see the castle and have a great sky view.

As lurkyloo said, the GF marina would be a fab location!
