Confused about EMH...

I have two questions about Extra Magic Hours:

1. Are the park hours posted on Disney's Web site including the extra Magic Hours? For example, the day I'm looking at, hours are 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., does that mean the evening EMH goes to 2 a.m.? Or does that park close at 8 p.m. and EMH is until 11 p.m.

2. Do you need to be at the park earlier in the day to get the wristband for EMH? Or could we show up at say, 10 p.m. after dinner at DD, and still be allowed in for the EMH.

Okay, a 3rd question...it's just certain rides that are open for EMH right?

I think I keep getting this confused with the old E-Ride nights.

The Disney website lists regular hours, so add 3 hours to the closing time for EMH...

You can get an wristband on your way into the park if you get there later than regular closing time...

And yes, it's certain rides for EMH...

Well, go ahead and CONFUSE them. That will tell you just about everything you need to know.
The "rules" and ride situations are nearly identical between the two.

Open only to WDW resort guests, after regular park hours, selected attractions, usually at only one park per night...

The only major difference is that EMH is FREE (and unlimited attendance), so more (MANY more) guests show up for it.

Beware of showing up later then expected. My friend had problems getting wristbands when they showed up an hour/hour and a half after it started, and spent most of her time in city hall complaining!

I believe you can find the EMH attractions that are operating at each park on allearsnet.com and wdwinfo.com.
During busy times the evening EMH can be very crowded and not worth the time. I understand that they can run out of wristbands but that rarely happens. Actually, it they were close to running out of wristbands you likely would not want to be in that park anyway as it would be jammed!
