Confused about budget

I'm trying to figure out how much to budget per day as "spending money" - for snacks, small counter lunch and other knick knacks. We are bringing our own water, we're not big souveiner people and we're alloting another part of our budget for our "one big meal" a day. Breakfast we're planning to eat in our room before we head out to the parks.

So it's it realistic to assume that we can budget $25 a person a day?

Why don't you visit THIS SITE for a better answer to your question on your food budget at least. I have $100 budgeted for DH and I on our trip in 2006, but that's on the high end as I know we won't be eating three meals a day everyday in the parks and we will definitely be sharing all our sit down lunches.

I hope I've helped! :teeth:

I think that you can expect to spend $10 or less per person on counterservice lunches (depends on appetite and food preferences). Add in a mid-morning snack and one in the afternoon and that will be another $5.

This leaves each with $10 to spend on ride photos, knickknacks and whatnots. If you're not big souvenir people, this will probably be enough.

Thanks for the feedback!

So I shouldn't feel dumb to allot $25. My DF keeps telling me that $15 is enough but I think that's a little TOO low (per person per day). Not that we eat a lot or anything but I'm more of a "just in case" person. I just wanted to make sure that $25 isn't too low of an estimate!

Tiggerlover91 - actually I was on the allears menu site most of last night and still ran into problems. Mainly because I couldn't figure out where we'd be eating (counter). :p

mad4themouse - Thank you! Now I don't feel so dumb. So I'll compromise and maybe we'll estimate $20 a person.

I you are not buying water, $20 should be plenty per person each day. Have a great time.

I think these are good value counter-service places:
Pecos Bills at MK: alot of food, my DD (5yo) and I usually split a meal

Pizza Planet at MGM: I think their pizza meal is about $7 per plate it included a drink, small salad, and a pizza big enough to feed 2. I bought three meals for our group of 2 adults/2children and threw away a WHOLE PIZZA!!! that about killed me! I try to take along empty ziploc bags now to put things like that in and we can snack on it a few hours later whenever someone enevitably gets hungry.

And, you can get one of those backpack/coolers that is a cooler on bottom and a backpack on top to carry in your frozen water and lite snacks.
