confused about booking ps's

Ok
I am the queen of researching our upcoming disney trip. I have looked up and called wdw about a million times concerning when to book certain ps's and most sources are conflicting.
For ex. I called about booking Wolfgang Puck's upstairs. I called
WP directly and they told me 30 days. I looked at tour guide Mike's and it says 60 days.
Also, Tour guide Mike says Fantasmic pkg. is now being continued into March. I called tonight to book and they said it is only going until Feb.28th.
Anyone know, what is the most reliable source??
.......or has anyone booked these yet and knows from experience?

Hey Dansyr-It's me again.

I called WDW about the DTD restaurants when I couldn't get my PS for Fulton's through my TA (shame on me for not believing her). The DTD restaurants are 30 days out and you have to call the restaurant directly (can't go through WDW-DINE, at least for Fulton's).

Being the non-believer that I am, I emailed guest services and they told me the same thing.

They also confirmed that the Fantasmic Dinner pkg has been extended to Feb 28th (at least for now) and it has to be dinner (no lunches). They would not let me book a Fantasmic Pkg yet either.

That is basically the same info I got, but I saw a couple of different things elsewhere.
I am getting alittle fed up with this whole fantasmic thing. We are just a little over a month out and they still haven't made a decision. This is one of the few things we haven't done on our past trips, and I want to make sure we see it.

Dansyr-even if you can't get PS for a Fantasmic
Dinner pkg in advance - do it with guest services when you get to your resort. (We actually booked ours the morning of and
had no problem but then again we go in May and crowds are moderate).

and if you can't get a PS at all go to the show anyway-we go everytime and it's worth seeing (the PS seats aren't all that great but at least they save you some time by getting there 30-45 minutes in advance rather than 90 mins).

We made a ps for Brown derby anyway for 5:10. So I figure even if we don't get a fantasmic pkg, we should probaly be done eating by abour 6:15 at the latest , which would leave us 45 min before the show.

Dansyr-that's exactly what we did last time and when we got to the resort they immediately changed it to a Fantasmic pkg at the desk for us (we were going the next day). No problem!!
