Confused about BEX code

The BEX code that came out today for AP holders says it is good for most nights Sunday—Thursday 2/17/05—4/16/05. I was able to get the discount for my stay and I check in on a Saturday. I'm not complaining. I was just happy to get a discount for Easter I also saw a lot of other posts where people are able to use the BEX code when checking in on days other than Sunday through Thursday. How is this possible?

I don't know about BEX but I was told today that the first two weekends of FEB are blacked out for all codes, even AP. But if I check in on Wed, Feb 2 I can get an AP rate of $140 for the WL, CV. Same room if I check in the following night is $255 This AP rate is not available at all the following week. The CR guy I talked with said that WDW realizes that this is a busy time and feel that they can sell the rooms at rack rate. Making me lean toward the Swan, as fond of the MK resorts as I am.

We also got the BEX code for a check-in on a Friday in March. Not complaining either. It usually has to do with availability. We booked Pop since this is a quick trip for us and it was the only Value choice we were offered. So, back to Pop we go and a nice long Disney weekend.

We are going to WL Feb 9-13 and we have a Courtyard room for $149 a night using the AP rate. So I do not think that it is blacked out. I would call back and talk to someone else.

Really?! Thanks for the heads up. I can get the Swan for $159/night with the DIS rate through DU, it is for standard room, one category free upgrade. We haven't stayed at the Swan since '98, DD's now 7 &9 were 11 months and not quite 3 at the time. We were at the WL in October, and I had it booked for April 1 2005 for spting break. I just changed that to CR due to what I fear may be a crowd issue. Thanks again Debbie, I'll look into that in the morning. Out of curiosity, when did you book? Maybe the resort is booked solid now.
