Confused about banking points

I am lousy at figuring this out.

Our use time is December 2006 is when we get our first points.

We plan not to use any points until January 2008 for a cruise. Can I use these banked points for a January 2008 cruise or do I have to use them by November 30th 2007. If they are put to a reservation in 2007 for a 2008 year does that work. Sorry for the confusion.

If you bank the points you receive in dec of this year, then you would be able to use them for the jan 2008 cruise since you would be banking all of your points into the dec 2007 year which ends nov of 2008.

December Use Years can be a bit confusing because most of the time your current Use Year is a year behind the current calendar year. It helps to think of your points like this:

Your 2006 points are valid for stays from Dec 1, 2006 - Nov 30, 2007
Your 2007 points are valid for stays from Dec 1, 2007 - Nov 30, 2008
Your 2008 points are valid for stays from Dec 1, 2008 - Nov 30, 2009
Your 2009 points are valid for stays from Dec 1, 2009 - Nov 30, 2010
etc.

If you bank your '06 points, then they are valid Dec 1, 2007 - Nov 30, 2008 and can be used for a cruise in Jan 2008.
