Confused about availability at POR....

I'm still needing to book our rooms there for our first night at WDW, before heading to YC, and kicking myself that I didn't do this earlier. Anyway....when put in the date (March 5), it shows a rate of $243. But when I put in the 5th AND the 6th, it gives me a rate of $184 for the first night, and $198 (I think) for the second. Why is that?

Whenever something like that happens to me, I come to realize something changed when comparing. Like looking at a standard room on one and preferred on the other. Or a discount on one and rack rate on the other. And it's never me changing things. Not saying that's for sure happening with you, but it happens to me all the time. Very frustrating.

I checked and I see that 2 nights qualifies for the Spring discount, so that may be it.

Sometimes it helps to call. I got a better price on the phone this year. Don't be afraid to call. Also.... You could make a reservation for your second choice now, but keep checking. There could be openings eventually.

That time frame does have Spring offer and not sure what the minimum stay requirement is for it to kick in.

Saturday rates are higher than Sunday rates so this would apply in your case.
