Confused about adding on to a resale

I know that there is a similar thread discussing this topic, but I'm still confused. If I were to buy a small contract through resale, could I then add on to that small contract through Disney, or would I need to buy more resale contracts to add on? If I could add on through Disney, would it be the same contract with the same use year? Also, at this point, if I were to buy at OKW for example, does Disney still offer add-ons to this particular resort, or can you only add on at SSR since it's not sold out? Any info you current owners could give me would be appreciated.

Yes you can buy a resale contract and then later on buy additional "add-on" contracts from Disney. Minimum purchase is 25 points if paying cash, 50 points if you want to finance through Disney. You can purchase the points at any resort, not just the resort you initially purchased through resale. If you wanted points at BCV you would probably have to wait a while to get them but Disney has points available for most of the other resorts immediately. Prices vary: $92/pt for OKW, $95/pt for BCV, BWV, VWL, $101 for SSR (unless you add on a minimum of 115 points while the limited-time offer of $86/pt is in effect). I don't know what they are charging for VB and HHI at the moment.

An "add-on" is a separate contract that can be sold separately from your other contracts but functions like a subcontract to your master contract. It must have the same Use Year. If your add-on is at the same resort as your master contract you can combine the points at the 11-month window to book at your home resort. If the add-on is at a different resort you can combine the points at the 7-month window.

Hope this helps!

Thanks so much, that clears things up!
