OK, I thought I knew what was going on but I just spoke with Member Services and now I'm confused!

I have a contract at AKV with a Feb Use Year. I am waiting to hear back on a resale contract, also AKV with Feb Use Year. If it passes, will my resale contract be added to the same membership number? When I asked MS, he said no I would have a different membership number. Is this true?

TIA :goodvibes:thanks:

It needs to be titled the same as your Disney contract. And I'd recommend telling the resales agent that you have an existing contract.

Not sure when you have different use years....

But I have two contracts - one at BLT and one at Aulani, both with the same use year.

I have the same member id for both, and the contracts are xxxxxxxx.0 and xxxxxxxx.1. So the contract numbers are the same with a different number after the period differentiating them.

Thanks, this is what I hope I end up with! Just need to figure out how to make this happen...

We've purchased resale a couple of times and everytime it's been added to our existing membership.

1 - Let your resale agent know that you are already members and want this to be added to your current membership

2 - make certain title is held exactly the same as your current contract. ie - order of names on the title, spelling, whether there's a middle name, initial, rights of survivorship etc.

This should most likely get it added on to your existing.

I always write my DVC member number on top of the resale contract so that when it goes to Disney, they will see the member number and add the new contract to the existing member number. The first time I tried to add on another contract, member services assigned me another member ID - even though everything was titled the same, and both contracts had the same use year. I was able to catch it and get it fixed, but now, I try to be proactive!
