Confused!! AAA or CRO

This has probably been answered 100 times but....
If I book a room through CRO with a AAA discount and Disney packages come out...do I have to cancel the room only ressie and then book the package deal? Or do they just change THAT ressie over to a package?

If I go with a AAA TA for a basic AAA package ressie and a Disney package comes up....do I still get a discount on the room part of the package??

Is it better to go through CRO or AAA???????

I'm confused too, but I think I have figured out from the boards that:

You can't book a AAA package directly with Disney. You CAN book a AAA room only discount. But if you want a package (tickets with or without Dining) you have to book directly through a AAA TA to get the AAA package.

I know you can't double up on discounts. So No you can't get a AAA room discount as well as any promotional discount Disney might offer.

You can switch your AAA package to the new Discount code. But this should be done only by a AAA TA that has DISNEY COLLEGE OF KNOWLEDGE experience so be sure to ask the TA if they have graduated from this special training because they will be the ones to know how to switch your package. A good AAA TA should be able to help you and not lose your original reservation once a discount comes out.

Thanks so much! I am still waiting to hear back from AAA as to the location of their Disney Specialist!! If only the Disney packages would come out soon....then I could easily decide which way to go!

I am in the same position! Except I am going to Disney with a FL resident so I am trying to figure that in as well! Oh well, could be worse things in the world to be worrying about !!
