Hi Folks

To say i am completely confused is an understatement.

I was wanting to book a trip to Euro Disney during late spring/Summer 2014.

I have never been before and to be honest i don't know where to start.

Our party includes 2 sets of families, each with 3 children and 2 adults
(9, 6 & 3) and (12, 10 & 5) traveling by plane from Northern Ireland.

Only hotel that we have ruled out is the Disneyland Hotel (big pink Castle)

All help is much appreciated re hotels/tickets/eating and transportation

Many thanks in advance

Now is a good time to book! Early offers are out and you can stay for 4nights / 5 days for the price of 2 nights / 3days for onsite

You are in the right place!

Our party includes 2 sets of families, each with 3 children and 2 adults
(9, 6 & 3) and (12, 10 & 5) traveling by plane from Northern Ireland.

Three hotels onsite do family rooms > Santa Fe (value - Cars theme - 15 minutes walking or free shuttle bus) Newport Beach Club (moderate - Nautical theme - 10 mins walking distance to parks) or Disneyland Hotel at the higher end which is at the main park gates. I would advise ringing Disney to see about prices for these 5 person rooms. Otherwise you will be looking at booking 3 rooms and splitting adults and kids amongst these rooms. Tickets and breakfast are included in these packages.

Your next option is not staying at a Disney property and getting annual passes from cemultiavantages or the like

You also need to arrange transfers from the airport to DLP and return. I would advise RS Transports who pick you up from the airport and delivery you to the door of your hotel and colect you there and bring you back to your departure terminal on the return leg

If you are looking at staying offsite try looking at alpharooms, travel republic, hotelscombined.com and trivago for hotel prices. You can purchase APs (Annual passes) from Disney directly or from promoparks or ce multiavantages (the latter two require a one off subscription of €20 but have much better offers then directly with Disney).
APs are passes which allow you entrance into both DLP parks for 280 (Francillen) 320 (Fantasy) or 365 days (Dreams) from the 1st day of use. The Francillen and Fantasy have blockout dates on which they cannot be used. Have a look at http://www.dlrpmagic.com/planning/booking/annual-passports/ for more details :thumbsup2
APs also have discounts on DLP shopping and dining and are a great idea if you plan to return within the year - which isn't unheard of once the Disney bug bites!!

Monday - Thursday arrivals during school time are the cheapest and quietest days at DLP. If you have a look on the main DLP forum page here you will see the Useful Info sticky - have a look there for when different countries are on holidays when you plan on going - France and the UK being on holidays has a huge influence on crowd levels. We always go during school term as it is much quieter and we get to see loads more and do more rides and shows but I know this isn't practical or the done thing for everyone.

Hope this helps and apologies if I've forgotten something!
