conflicting reports

i've had it go both ways for me. once MK was ghost town and another time where I felt like I was in cattle corrol at feeding time.

I stressed about "which day of the week is best" for what park last year.. and man, it just made me nuts. Finally I just let my bf choose where we went everyday and had a fantastic time. Crowds are everywhere if you're going during a crowded season. Im not saying this in a rude way.. just a heads up cause I went crazy trying to figure it out last year.

It's also about being flexible. You are so right - I'm sure any number of us has a spreadsheet going that lists what parks we go to what days (mine is broken up into monring, noon, and evening, LOL).

However, I find it good to have an idea of what would be the most efficent way (because I also love planning!) and then go with the flow. I make sure on any itinerary I make I also note the hours of ALL parks for the whole stay, not just the ones I'm "planning" on. That way I can decide on the fly.

While you will find many opinions on which days are better/worse, it really does vary week to week. The best idea is just to pay attention - if you start avoiding more lines than you are getting in, or bumping into people left and right, you might want to consider hitting another park.

What I usually end up doing is using a few "must be here" times through out the trip - say, when the MK is open late, I want to be sure and be there, or a special PS means I want to be in a certain park - and then just pick and choose based on how everyone is feeling and what the crowds are like. When I go solo, it's not unusual for me to hit three parks in a day - in fact, it's downright common. When I go with larger groups we tend to stick to two parks a day - say one in the morning, one in the evening. The larger the group, the harder it is to move. ;)

So bethzfl is right - plan if it's fun for you, but don't stress over it. It's just nice to have some idea of either how the parks typically look on those days or how you'd like to spend the days, but always remember to ditch the schedule the second you feel rushed or pushed into something you aren't gung-ho to do.
