Conflicting Info on Poly Fridges from TA

We sent our TA a note to add a fridge to our room. She wrote back and said ALL rooms at Poly now have a fridge, and there is no need to request one.

She did not add the request to our ressie.

Now I'm thinking "What is right?"

I'll be upset if we arrive and there is not a fridge in every room, and are told we had to request one but no there are none left.

Has anyone recently returned from Poly? Or has anyone spoken with someone at the front desk or Guest Services?

ALL moderates and deluxes are supposed to have fridges in them now for free - no need to request one.

Was this something they have added recently?? We were there in 2002 and requested one and it was in the room.

Just want to be sure.

I understand all moderates and deluxes are "supposed" to have them.

However, those who have stayed at Poly in the early part of this year report they are not in the rooms yet, and they had to ask for one when they got there.

I know Disney's intentions, I simply want to know factually whether they are there or not from people who have actually stayed in a room there recently.

If you haven't stayed there recently you wouldn't know the answer.

they are already in at the CR, north wing anyway. We did have to ask for one to be brought up to our room at Poly (no charge) and Mousekeeping was lightening fast getting it there (but had to wait a day for it to get cold).

We were at the Poly before Easter. We did not request a fridge on our ressie and there was not one in the room when we got there. We called from the room to request one and we got one fairly quickly, probably about 20 to 30 minutes. There was no charge.

We stayed at AKL in February and had requested a fridge...when I called the CRO to check on something else I asked him to make sure the fridge request had been noted and he let me know that as of sometime in January all the deluxe resorts were having both fridges and coffee makers. And indeed the room did.

Not sure if this is true of moderates...

Moderates have the refrig in the room now. It takes time but the Deluxes were also scheduled. If you do a search here on the DIS you will find others reporting that if the room didn't have one they received one free of charge.

We where down in march.

PORS had the fridge in the room (a bigger fridge)

POLY we requested at the desk, and when we got in the room, (6 hours later) (checked in 9am & room ready @ 3pm) no fridge. I called mousekeeping, said they had us with no request but would bring me one, and I got one in about 30 minutes, no charge. This was March 10 > 21
