First of all this may belong on another board, if so I appologize moderators and please feel free to move it.
When I made my ressie w/WDW for hotel, park hoppers and free dining with the Visa promo, I asked the CM if she could look into flights for me. She said that Airtran was have a great deal thru WDW and to call back Tuesday. I asked if it was cheaper out of Midway or Milwaukee and she said "It doesn't matter both will be the same price it's $129 round trip person from any destination AirTran serves to Orlando" I asked if I could book this directly thru AirTran and she said it was only thru WDW.
So I called back this morning and at first I couldn't get thru. Then when I did get thru I got a CM named "Velma". She said yes there was a deal with AirTran but that it was only a few cities and Chicago and Milwaukee weren't part of it. I asked what cities were (some people had asked for more info so I thought I'd at least try to get info). She said she had no list and had no idea. I mentioned the convo with the CM on Saturday and she said I must have misunderstood her. I'm pretty sure I didn't misunderstand because I was shocked and had her repeat it and she was pretty clear that I must call back on Tuesday for this great deal.
According to fine DIS tradition, I hung up and redialed and I got VELMA again. LOL I said "ooops wrong number" and hung up (like after all those prompts I could be confused).
I decided to call back one more time and I got a very helpful CM who told me the promo did apply to BOTH Midway and Milwaukee but she wasn't sure about other cities. The flights were getting booked so fast at this piont that I couldn't go out of Milwaukee any longer for that price and my return flight choices to Midway were noon or 8pm, both with connections.
So now b/c of Velma's misinformation, I have to find a way home from Midway at midnight.
Kind of ironic she shares the name with the smart one from Scooby Doo...
