Confirming reservations & other ?'s

I have never booked anything through a travel agent before so I am a little concerned. How do I know that my reservation has been made? Can I call DCL to confirm? Also, are there any chance of upgrades when you check in? Do you ask for them? I originally had ressies through DCL but a travel agent saved me money and was able to get me a category 9 instead of 11. Sorry I am a first timer cruiser and will be having lots of questions!

Your TA should be able to provide you with the DCL booking number. DCL can verify it for you, but beyond that, they'll advise you to contact your TA.

As the other poster said, your TA should be able to provide you with your booking number. Once you transfer your reservation to a TA, DCL will not confirm reservation or give you any information on your reservation. All communication must be through your TA. As for an upgrade, you can ask at the port. Just don't count on it. HTH
