Confirming how Orbitz tickets work...

I see that tickets bought on Orbitz have a free 4th day, so I'd like to take advantage of this, but I just want to make sure I understand how it works... this is my plan:

I buy the voucher online now. When we arrive on Sunday night, I go to the ticket booth to exchange it for our 4-day hopper tickets, which I can then use Monday morning through Thursday? I believe I can't take the Orbitz voucher to the turnstiles on Monday, and since I don't want to waste valuable morning time at the ticket booth then, I want to get the tickets Sunday night. Could this work?

I am wondering the same thing. I already bought them. I wondered if it's the same as when I pr by the ones with dis eye logo which go right to the gate, or if I need a ticket window first.

Yes you have it correct!

Make sure you take photo ID with you when you pick up orbitz tickets at the ticket booth. It works great to pick them up the night before, I do it on every trip.

Cheaptickets.com is offering the same deal right now. If you go through Ebates then you can get an additional 6.88% cash back. I just bought our park hoppers that way so will be getting $53 back. They are vouchers just like Orbitz. Unfortunately Orbitz is only 3% back on Ebates, so Cheaptickets is they way to go.

We're planning a DL trip next August....I'm trying to find any expiration date info on the Orbitz deal, but I don't see any. Does this mean I'm fine to buy our tickets now and they'll still be good next August? (Please!). . I do see "dates subject to availability"... Does that just mean that I'm not guaranteed entrance in the event of the parks closing because they're at capacity (or if they close for a private event or something?). Thanks!

I'm not sure when the tickets expire. I bought tickets last month for my trip this November, so I figured I'd be fine. If I were you, I would wait and buy tickets in February, that's when the last two 20% Orbitz/Ebates cash back deal was offered. Also, you will know that the tickets will be good for 2015.

Hi everyone, I bought my tickets on cheaptickets and it had me enter dates. I entered 2/18-2/21 but now I want to go 2/22-2/25. Does anyone have experience with getting tickets with vouchers? Am I only able to pick up the tickets on the 18th or from the 18-21st? Or would I be able to go on the 22nd and still get my tickets? I called cheaptickets and they weren't sure. They said they think maybe on the dates printed but to call Disney and ask. I called Disney and after putting me on hold, the CM came back saying I could redeem them any time. I just don't want to get to the turnstile on the 22nd and have a problem redeeming my tickets. My other option is to drive from LAX to Disney on the 18th, redeem the voucher, then head to San Diego. I'll be driving back to Disney on the 22nd. I was hoping not to have to go out of the way on the 18th but if I have to, I guess I will.

I've never tried to redeem vouchers outside of the dates I entered, but others have reported that they've done it with no problems. I think as close as your new dates are to the original dates, you really should be fine.

Is there any way to know if the 20% cash back is coming in February or do you have to just wait and hope. I imagine there isn't but I wanted to check before I decide when I want to buy our tickets for our March trip.

Thank you so much for your response! I really appreciate it! Ok, I think with the info Disney gave me and knowing that others have, I'll chance it and just redeem them on the second half of my trip. I asked the CM if he was sure I wouldn't have a problem and he said I wouldn't but I was still nervous about it. I'm feeling better now. I'm actually going a day earlier now and arriving at Disneyland the 21st so at least that date falls under my original dates.
