Confirming a Reservation when Renting Points

How soon can I call OKW and confirm my reservation if I'm renting points from a DVC owner? Is it no sooner than 5 days before our check in date? Thanks for everyone's help!

As soon as they transfer the reservation to OKW, which should be a few days before your arrival. Before then you'll have to rely on the owner.

The owner needs to put the confirmation into your name. The number of guests need to be correct on the confirmation, especially if you are using Magical Express. If you are using Magical Express, you will receive you tags about 45 days before travel. You can ask the owner to fax or mail you a copy of the confirmation.

Member services will transfer the reservation over to the Resort the 5-7 days, before travel. If you are using the Disney Dining Plan, the owner should have given you a $ amount for the DDP, that you will pay at check in.

I realize that this is a little more than you asked for, but this is how it works.
