I am sitting at the Best Western Park Place Inn and Suites across from DisneyLand and wanted to confirm reports that DisneyWorld ticket media CAN be used at DisneyLand and California Adventure. You simply present them at the gates, a supervisor takes them to a back room for a minute and returns with 1 day passes for you. They are the same as your DW passes, ie... hopper tickets.

Thanks to Mary at mousesavers.com for the great tip... this was a wonderful way to save some money on our first DisneyLand trip!

Now, back to the park for an afternoon of fun after a refreshing swim!

Take care.

Thread hijacking here too...I'll be at BWPPI next week. Any special room requests we should make?

No specific rooms, but upstairs in the back so you don't hear the garbage trucks in the morning. We were upstairs overlooking the pool and it was really quiet. Parking is tight, so if at all possible, once you find a space, dont leave.

:goofy:

Just checking, I guess the answer is no, but can you use WDW Annual Passes at DL?

Thank you!!!!

You just saved me over $300 on our upcoming 2 day trip in August. DS and I still have 6 days left on a 10 day non exp PH and DH has 5 days left on his.

I came across a thread about this on here a few weeks ago and I was thrilled because I had read on other forums previously that you couldn't use your WDW tickets at DL so I was budgeting $250 for hopper passes, well not after reading that thread!! We'll be at DL next Saturday, can't wait!!:woohoo:

We are going to try the BWPPI in Sept. How is the internet, room, etc.?

Sorry I have not replied folks, we have been traveling all day to get home. Just arrived home about an hour ago.

I agree that a room towards that back is nice. We were in bed before 10pm 3 of the first 4 nights as our bodies were on central time and we didn't have any problems with noise. It could also be due to the fact that we were up early! We had a 3rd floor room, helps cut down on noise, though not on the back side of the building... still very quiet.

Parking was tight, but we were always able to find a spot even when returning at 10pm from Universal. There is parking on both sides of the building.

The continental breakfast next door is great. Bagels, danish, hard boiled eggs, toast, cereal, donuts, and juices/milk made it a great way to save some money. You can also pass on the continental breakfast and get a hotcakes breakfast downstairs for free, excluding beverages.

We ate up and down Harbor and really liked Millie's a block or two closer to I-5. Marco was our waiter and he was awesome!!!

Rooms at the BWPPI were nice. Our housekeeper did a great job of keeping our room clean. We tipped $2-3 each day and she really appreciated that. Wirless internet signal was not the best, but was good enough to check email and such.....

Have a great trip! You can't beat the location!

Thanks, dudspizza, for the updates. We will be at BWPP again in August. is the continental breakfast still upstairs in the building next door?

Yes, that is exactly where it is. It can get pretty crowded at prime breakfast times... but it is well worth it.

Aren't Disneyland multiday passes cheaper than Disney World passes? Wouldn't it be better just to save the leftover days until I went back to Disney World?

In the long run, yes.

In the short run, you don't have to shell out money to buy Disneyland tickets.

I bought 10 day non-expiring park hoppers from undercover tourist and I figure I paid about $47/day. Which works out cheaper than buying a 2 day DL park hopper.

I was SO excited when I read your post so I called DL to confirm this and twice they have said "no". Did I get ahold of two castmember phone people who don't know? I actually wanted to come back to your post just to make sure I read it correctly. I REALLY want to be able to do this...how cool it would be!!!
We went to WDW in Oct and I had originally bought a 3 day PH for a little over $800 for the four of us. When I realized I could make it a full 10 day (minus the three days we had used) and add water parks, and add no expiration it was an extra $1000, I did it. So now we have 7 day hoppers, water and no exp for $250 a ticket. DL 2 day hopper tickets are $122- so we would still have 5 days left. Quite a bargain in my head IF we can indeed use it.
My dilemma- we can book through Disney Chase credit card, or AAA, or Costco and save about $200 for a package vs room and tickets being bought seperately. But it has to be done beforehand. I just want to double check that getting your passes wasn't a fluke and that DL hasn't recently changed the rules or you got ahold of a really nice supervisor.
I'm not doubting that you did it, I just don't want them to change the rules before I get there. That is the total story of my life.
Help
Thanks,
Tracey

Hmmm.... I read it Mousesavers and they said as of May 2007 it still worked. I think we'll try it. I'm a bit nervous that we'll be at the front gate and the same people I talked with on the phone will be manning the gates, but its worth a shot right?
Anyone else do this lately? Updates?
THANKS for sharing this tip!! If it can save me $488 I am ALL for it!!!

The policy of accepting WDW tickets at Disneyland has been going on for years. I doubt very much anything has changed. The people on the phones don't work at the gates and have no way of knowing about gate policies.

No, that would be nice, then we would just get WDW APs and use them, as we could also use the discounts for our WDW trips

That would be wonderful - We are going in April and will need new tickets and I could just get an AP now and use it in August and April - but that will never happen.
