Hello! I'm trying to remember if, in the past, Disney sent out a "confirmation packet" thanking us and confirming our reservation with an insert that stated our cabin, dining rotation etc? If so, have they stopped this practice and moved to all confirmations via email? Also, when should the blue spiral notebook with luggage tags arrive? THANK YOU! Cheers!

I don't recall any hard copy confirmation of any of our reservations, only via e-mail, but we've only been cruising DCL since 2008. The cruise notebook (with luggage tags) generally arrives around 30 days out from your cruise.

We are sailing the Fantasy NYE cruise leaving December 30th. A LONG 9 months away. We booked about a month ago & I received the hard, booklet style confirmation packet about 2 weeks after booking. I had to quickly hide it from my kids, as this is a Christmas surprise for them. I can't wait for that spiral bound notebook to arrive!

OP if you are talking about the dark blue folio about 8 1/2 x 4 (the size to fit in a regular business envelope) with your booking summary and several "informational" sheets inside, I think the last cruise I got them for were the ones we took last fall (so booked in May 2015). I think like a lot of promo pieces for DCL, they are hit and miss. I haven't gotten any for our upcoming cruises -- those have all been reminders via e-mail. Since it seems Bmitty did receive them (or something similar) they are still around, just not sent consistently.

Is this what you mean? As far as I'm aware they still send them out, I've always received it. In January this year I received two for my upcoming cruises on the Dream and Wonder (booked in November last year). I haven't received the one for my transatlantic booked last month, but they always seem to take a little while to arrive in my experience.

THANK YOU!!!! YOU always have such quick information and replies!!!

Can confirm the 'hit and miss' of this mailing. The family is going to Alaska with 3 staterooms. Two rooms received the packet, one did not.

Do you think there's any link to this whether booking with a TA or booking on your own perhaps? Maybe not...but I booked with a TA this time & received one. Last year I booked direct & did not receive one.

Three of my cruises have been booked direct through DCL, four through a TA... have received the little booklet for all (except the latest one through a TA, but as I said above it was very recent so may still be on the way)

I can also confirm the hit or miss. I booked three staterooms for my family. We only received for one of the staterooms. I called DCL and the woman said she was told they are mailed out in groups, not based on the time of booking. She couldn't give me any other information. Just confirmed mailing addresses and said maybe the other two would arrive soon. This is for a cruise in July that I booked on opening day.

We received one for our cruise this past Feb as well as the one in 2018 we have booked.
