Confirmation help!

Alrighty, I have rented points in the past and was always able to verify via the handy link provided in this thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2416930.
When I type in my confirmation number for my upcoming reservation, it says it has been cancelled. :eek:I know this can happen for if a waitlist comes through. Is there any other reason this would come up as were weren't waitlisted?

I did my due diligence as best as I could. I verified the owner throught the comptroller site, verified physical address, contract, references, 3 way call to MS etc. I really have no red flags as far as the owner is concerned. Before I call the owner, I thought I'd fish for some opinions first.

I have successfully rented three times before, but it seems my nerves just aren't up for the process anymore... probably taking the plunge into ownership soon.

Are you staying at more than one place? Did you make the reservation a long time ago?

Last September my reservation showed as canceled maybe 7 days before our trip, which was not so fun to see, but it turned out they had taken my ONE reservation number and split it into 3, since we were staying at 3 different rooms/places. (why they couldn't have shot me an email about it I have NO idea)

So maybe it's that.


Otherwise, check with the owner! Best of luck to you, I hope it's something like we experienced.
 
All is fine! We have a 2BR booked at Kidani and had requested a lock-off if available. The bed/sofa was preferable to us over the 2 queens. Apparently they fulfilled the request which resulted in a new reservation#. It all checks out when I look it up.:yay:
 
Wow, that must have been stressful for the moment. You'd think they would send you an automatic e-mail or soething when they change your reservation #. Glad it all worked for both of us!
 

Thanks for the update - I am going through the same thing right now, I had a confirmation # from the owner that was working fine on the Disney reservation site, but as of tonight when I put it in it is showing as canceled. I have already paid the owner in full via paypal. I did put in for a waitlist at another resort if something opened up, so I am hoping that went through and the owner just hasn't given me the new #. Freaking out a little though because I haven't had a response back yet from the owner!!!
