I made a room only reservation back in July for an up coming trip in December. When I made the reservation back in July, I received a confimation email within a couple hours. It was the standard confirmation email and showed the amout due date and amout paid. Today, I just received another confirmation email with a new amout due date. I didn't make any changes to my reservation and everything looks the same except for the "amout due by date". I never had this happen before. Why would Disney be sending me a new confirmation email?

We always book early and then pay on it monthly. Every time I make a payment, I receive several confirmations. Disney's site is horrible. As long as it shows what you have paid, I would not worry. As you know, the due date is 45 days before your trip begins.

It does show my payment and I can pull up the reservation on Disneyworld.com. I just never received more than one confirmation email unless I changed a reservation which I have not changed this one since I made it.

Look and see if they upgraded your reservation. Happened to me once, Had BC standard and was upgraded to CL.

You had me excited there for a minute. I rushed off an pulled up the reservation again. Still shows the standard room I booked.

Sorry to disappoint. There's still a chance for a little pixie dust and an upgrade once you get there. ;) Have fun.

You may want to call them. I made a reservation recently and the balance due date that was shown on the website was wrong - it was more than 45 days out. I called and they said there was something wrong with their system and not to worry, my balance due date was the 45 day mark. The system, I guess, was fixed, because the real date showed up a few hours later. When in doubt, I always call.

seems odd to me - I thought "room only" reservations had to be paid in full by or at check in. So why would his due date change?

It still shows the down payment I paid back in July, "balance due date" and "balance due" correctly. What looks like changed is the "amount due by" date.

That's always been our experience......

Unless they have recently changed things, the balance on a room only reservation is due when you check in.

Yeah - you're right. OP's balance isn't due until check-in. OP, you should call CRO!

While that's true the 45 days before only applies to package deals. The OP made a room only reservation and the 1st night deposit can be paid right away when making the reservation on the phone or within 7 days of making it. Plus when making a room only reservation online then you have no choice to pay the 1st night deposit right away.

I called just to be on the safe side and and the CM said it is a reminder email confimation. :confused3 Never heard of one of those before. :confused3 Strange, I never ever received more than one confirmation unless I changed a reservation. There is no problem with the reservation so I guess all is well.

I got a 2nd email confirmation on both of my upcoming room-only reservations about 45 days from arrival. I guess it's just to remind you that your Disney vacation is coming up?!? (Like I need a reminder! :rotfl: )

Maybe it's something new they started?
