Just made final payment for December trip. I confirmed all the PS I had make. Two of the five PS had our name mispelled. One mispelling wasn't even close. The cast member I spoke to today was phenomenal, a real pleasure to talk to. When I was making the PS reservations some of the CMs were not such a pleasure. So confirm your PS's.

This is good advice stink!

It's always best to find out if there's a problem early on, so you can get everything resolved ahead of time.

I always confirm our PS before we leave for WDW, especially since we had a problem last fall with a PS being mistakenly cancelled by a CM  .

Enjoy your vacation in December! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo :

Thanks for the advice, stink... never gave it a thought!:D

I too called on Thursday I believe just to check all my ps's. I know I had made several changes and got a few normally impossible ones with ease so I wanted to be safe.

Never did dawn on me that they might mispell my last name. I did have about a dozen to confirm and the cm commented how I had all the good ones. But all my numbers apparantly came up with my name, hopefully they were all spelled correctly.

I am an advocate for calling back and confirming all PS according to the PS Number. If anybody has ever seen the CRO PS software, it is very easy to book on the wrong night, or even the wrong restaurant, that is because after a PS is made, all of the details are defaulted when the next PS is made.
For example, if you walk up to a Guest Service counter and they open their PS, all of the details would be for the previous PS that they made. If perchance they just made a PS for December 6th, and they are not extra careful, your booking will also be for December 6th even if they change the restaurant selection.
So, if you are booking all different nights it's very easy for one of the settings to go unchecked.
My suggestion, after each booking ask the operator to repeat read the entire confirmation that is popped up on the screen when the PS # is issued. Write it down.
Then, call back at a later date and confirm each PS by giving the PS#. It's very easy to verify all of the info, including any special comments or requests.
It is well worth the extra effort, rather to be told that your PS was made for another night, when you arrive for your meal.

I just called and confirmed mine today. When I told the CM that I wanted to confirm them, she said, " You want me to look up ALL your PSs?" I said yes, I want to make sure they are all still there. Luckily they were. It's always good to know ahead of time. ::yes::

Yeah, this new "system" they have is the pits!

At least with the old one all you had to do was give them your phone number and they had the whole list in front of them. I have about a dozen ps's and when I called to confirm mine the CM was getting more and more less friendly with each one.

I just hope she was paying attention to the spelling of my last name because they have a hard enough time saying it let alone figuring out if it's spelled correctly.

So - they don't go by the home phone number any more? That seemed like a simple system. What do they use now....or are they not sorted by guest?

Well, not exactly.
They can go search by your phone number, if they entered it when you booked, and if they entered it correctly.
They KEY number is the PS Number. That is the easiest way to look up a booking, just due to the possible misspellings of names.
