OoOo I want one!

Now that I had the idea of a family Blizzard Beach trash the dress nixed by my wedding consultant (waa!), I have decided I want a confetti canon.

Tell me more! Details! Costs!! Can Escape wedding ladies get it as an add on and for how much? Can I shoot it off more than once? Or is it the one-time-use kind? And if I don't like what they offer, can I sneak in my own, get my daughter to set it off and blame her?

i am interested in the "streamer" cannon after i saw a picture of one. i am still awaiting a planner, but what i've been able to learn is that there is a "streamer" cannon that can be set off at the WP (don't know if it can go anywhere else). usually waht people talk about at receptions is the confetti cannon that i think runs for a certain length of time (minutes not hours!).

i beleive these START at $500. I am hoping that a one time burst of the streamers at the WP is $500 - but i haven't had that confirmed by DFTW. I am not sure if you can add this on to escape packages, but it wouldn't surprise me, but i would think the first issue would be where and when they are available for rental.

good luck!

We had the reception ones, sadly it wasn't minutes it was more the kind of thing that if you blinked you missed it. Because we had them outside I assume they are portable and can go anywhere.

Did you think it was worth it? I am looking into having this, but it's quite expensive for only a less than a minute thing.

Amy, had it been done properly it would have been worth it. We had it specifically so we could get the classic petal shot as we walked back down the aisle. Unfortunately the AV person didn't put the cannons on either side of the aisle and instead put them in the back corners so they shot up over our guests and never came near the aisle. I would say it would have been cool for our guests but all of our guests were watching us and not looking up. All of our aisle shots are of me looking back over my shoulder wondering why the petals were done wrong :sad2:

Also keep in mind that you need AV in order to do it which is an additional cost if you don't already have them.

In my mind the whole reason to do it is simply to get the picture. You have to ask yourself is one photograph worth $500+. To us it was and we still didn't get it.

Oh, that sucks, I would have been so disappointed!

Did the planner tell you why you cant have the trash the dress session?

We had one confetti cannon that went off on the sidewalk as we did our staged exit to the carriage from the WP. I'll load a couple of pics of it, but I think it went perfectly and the pictures look fantastic.

Here it is:
