Confession time...

lol glad I'm not the only one...wish I could cut back but I dont drink coffee and honestly dont think I'd make it through the day without diet pepsi :upsidedow

I also don't drink coffee, and I rarely have alcohol, so it is my only real bad habit....

Although, I have found a way to justify it.....all the pop can deposit money (5 cents a can here in Oregon) goes into our Disney savings fund. So in my own over-caffeinated way, I am getting us to Disney THAT much quicker....:cool1:

No alcohol for me although occassionally I will splurge and buy a bottle of kaluha :cloud9:

We also get .05 for the bottles/cans here in NY....I really ought to save them and take them back...dont know what my problem is....I average 3 12pcks a week easily...so 36 cans @ .05 each = 1.80 per week....52 weeks OMG that is over $100 - that would buy me more pop!!!

I have driven by the farm but never actually stopped in....They do some really cool stuff around Halloween time with their pumpkin patch, so we might venture out that way in the Fall. If we do, I'll say "hi!" for you! :goodvibes

We eat out way too much. That's a huge, yawning chasm in our budget. Our justification right now is that our kitchen is torn apart as we remodel, but we've struggled with it for long before that. 2 people working, it's just really hard to get it together and cook every single day. We keep working on it.

I feel your pain, this is our downfall too, unfortunately I don't have the excuse of a remodel project:rolleyes1:rolleyes1 we are just too lazy to cook also- it's hard to get motivated after working all day. LOL:rotfl2:

My vice is Diet Coke from the fountain. I go every morning to McDonald's and buy a Large Diet Coke. I use to spend much more, but I have cut myself down to one a day spending $1.77 everyday. I then force myself to drink water while at work.

ME TOO!!! :rotfl: I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my McDonald'd Diet Coke :) Thankfully, this summer in Canada, all fountain drinks at McDonald's (regardless of the size) are only $1.00....needless to say, I've done many drive-thru "Diet Coke" pit stops lately! :goodvibes

Sushi. It's bad enough that I am eating out to frequently for lunch and dinner, but I always get sushi which is expensive. Instead of a 5 dalla footlong, I can easily drop $25 on a couple of rolls. I'm a penny pincher in the extreme on everything else, I drink water instead of soda, pick up pennies in parking lots, clip coupons to save 10cents....but then I go and blow $25 -$30 with out even thinking twice about it. Gotta have my sushi.

Okay, you made me think and now I know I have waaaaay to many and need to cut a couple out. This is just for me mind you - not talking DH or things for the kids:

1) Coffee and a donut every day on my way to work $4
2) 20 oz Diet Coke - one or two a day ($3.00)
3) going to the full serve gas station - about $1.50 extra per fill
4) Take out lunch at work 2 or 3 times a week instead of left overs or a frozen dinner - extra $15/wk.

and....
this is the big one....

5) I spend about $250 a month on books, maybe more. So far this month I've spent $125. I read one or two books a day. I try to buy used when I can find something I like that I haven't already read, or do an e-book when it's a new title, but I often end up buying new paperbacks because I just like them better than e-books.

Wow, I didn't know there were still gas stations that HAD a full serve lane. I haven't seen one in years around here.

That is awesome that you live close enough to go there, it looks amazing--I wish I lived there :lovestruc

Please consider donating those bottles to someone...I spent my morning driving my son around so he could go door to door asking for bottles and cans for a Boy Scout fundraiser--kids are always collecting for various organizations so do a good deed instead of throwing that money away!

Well you can tell my first vice if you look at my signature...... but I justify that in my mind a lot of different ways since I have a 1 and 3 year old grandson who already love the place.;)

Aside from that, we eat out WAY too often. I really get upset when I figure out how much we spend, so I am trying to have more easy to fix meals at home so I can fix things fast and without requiring a lot of clean up.

I only get tea at McDonalds once in awhile now, because at Bush's chicken a gallon is only $1.45 and a large glass is only $.49. I get sweet for my daughter and grandkids and unsweet for me.

Also I buy my grandsons WAY too many toys. Sheesh, now I know where all my money goes. (just kidding, I already knew)

All gas stations in NJ are all self serve-- and does not cost extra. It was a law that has been in effect forever. There is one other state that also has this law.. I want to say Wyoming?

Eating out is our worst thing.

Our Iphones are a close second, except for the fact that we both use them all day everyday... but I don't even want to talk about what our cell phone bill is.

The one thing I do for myself, up until recently, was go to a NICE salon and get my hair cut, but my stylist just got another promotion so I'm rethinking it. I would also get my hair colored, highlited, and get manicures and pedicures a few times a year.

I wish I would waste money on massages and a housekeeper a few times a month... but I don't.

Oregon is also full serve only - no pumping your own gas. I love not having to get out of my vehicle! Of course, we pay a little above the national average, but that is mostly our local taxes at work because we don't have sales tax.....
