Conferences at CR, anyone been?

Hi all
My sister-in-law just found out she'll be attending a conference at CR in November. She was curious about reserving their rooms and passes and such, so I was wondering if anyone here had been to a conference and how it all "worked." Didn't know if there was usually a block of rooms set aside for conference-goers, and where the rooms were...Or if passes were offered through the conference for family also? Any info you guys have would be great!! Thanks!

I was at a conference there last year. They had a block of rooms reserved at a reduced rate, as well as special theme park ticket prices. They also sold special "after 4 PM" tickets that were much reduced and only available to the person attending the conference. It wasn't a hopper pass, and had an expiration date on it (maybe one week later, I don't remember).

It depends on the conference. Sometimes you are better off finding your own rate.

safetymom, that is a good tip, I'm definitely going to do research for her before she books anything through the conference. I'm sure some people assume that the conference offers the best rates.

Anyone else have any experience?
