I am feeling pretty lucky - I am attending a work conference at WDW for about a week and should have evenings free! I’m trying to figure out my park plans and need some help.

Because the conference is being held at WDW, all conference attendees have access to discounted ‘half day’ tickets. The after 5pm option is probably the one that makes the most sense and they are about half the cost of a full day ticket. I’m fortunate to be staying at the Contemporary resort, so I’ll have access to EEH.

Here’s what I’m wondering - is EEH and DAH about the same from a crowds perspective? Not as worried about the snacks - and I can’t stay too late because I have to attend the conference the next morning.

These are so many new (to me) rides that I haven’t done - FoP, Frozen, Tron… I’m not sure what parks I want to do. For sure MK - open to the others.

I need some help thinking through the pros and cons! :)

Edited to fix a typo

When is the conference taking place? That can have a huge impact as far as whether you can utilize special events in the park in the evening. If you are there when the parks are open later, you may be wanting to go back to your resort before EEH or DAH begin. If you are there when the parks are closing earlier, you stand a better chance of participating in one or the other, or both.

Great question! The conference runs from March 16-21. I’m planning to travel on March 15 (maybe 16) and come home on March 21.

There are DAH events at MK on March 18 and DHS on March 20.

That is the heart of Spring Break and Easter crowds. Another thing to consider is that Disney can limit capacity for the ticketed DAH event, but EEH is open to all guests of specific resorts giving Disney less control over the quantity of people. There can be more or fewer guests at EEH, depending on occupancy at the participating hotels and how many people take advantage of the perk.

If it were me, and buying after hours tickets was in the budget, I would probably attend DAH over EEH for that reason alone IF the DAH was starting early enough to allow me to get on the rides I wanted to before I needed to head back to the hotel. That is a big IF though.

The regular park hours aren’t out yet for your dates, and they will probably be adjusted later once or twice once they are issued due to the spring break season. From what I can see online, for 2023 MK was open to day guests until 11:00 nearly every night for the four weeks prior to Easter. DHS wasn’t quite so bad, closing at 9:30 most nights. Based on that information, I think you would probably benefit from DAH at DHS. The same would be true for EEH. I think for all parks except MK, you may benefit from either choice where offered, but at MK, it may start too late. For MK you may have to resort to LL and Genie+ to enjoy the more popular rides at the park. It should not be too long until the park hours for your dates are posted (they are up through March 10th) so I would start there.

Have fun!

Park hours are posted through March 20th on MDE. Obviously those are subject to change at any time, as you stated.

It wasn’t allowing me to go past March 10 (they were greyed out). Hopefully the OP can see them too.
Thank you both for the help! Looks like both MK and DHS close around 9pm/9:30pm that week - if it doesn’t change.

I just realized that both DAH for DHS and EEH for MK are the same day. :/ When asking before, it was more of a general question on value/crowds… didn’t realize I was asking about a literal choice on the same night! haha

If I wanted a VQ for Tron, I’m guessing the EEH is the way to go. Or maybe ILL instead? I would prioritize Tron as my top choice… what’s the best way to make it work?
