Condo rentals that offer DDP?

Hello everybody,
I'm working on planning trip 3 to the world. The first two times we have stayed at hotels inside disney world and this time we are planning universal as well so we thought we would look at condos. Can any of you tell me if there are any condo/townhouse rentals by there that offer the DDP? I wouldn't think there would be but my brother swears that the condo they stayed in last year did offer the ddp but I can't find any information.

There aren't any. You have to be an onsite Disney guest to be eligible for DDP.

If your brother rented a DVC villa, however, he would have been eligible.

They're all onsite, but will give you more space and a much lower price if you rent from a DVC owner. Check the DIS's DVC Rent/Trade Board.

It's also worth asking if DDP is really that big of a deal. I've never, not once, spent more out of pocket than the appropriate dining plan would have cost, just eating what, when, and where we wanted.

Yeah, especially after they gutted the program, dumbed down the menus, and raised the price $10 per day! Even when we stay in DVC, we eat offsite -- not so much to save money, but just because the food is better.

Thank you all for your replies. I do need to look at the details on the ddp again this year. Last time we went was Jan 2010. We did the basic dining plan the first year and then the following year we did the quick service plan and honestly we loved that one. I'm one of those people who would rather pay up front and not worry about it. I'm a penny pincher by nature so it makes it better for me. We also do the parks all day. I honestly hate to leave them. We do 7 full days (winter days) and don't even take breaks so I wouldn't be planning to eat off site much. I am going to look into dvc rentals though to see what is out there.
