Have never been on that tour, but we just got off the pin trading cruise a few weeks ago. November 18th.
The island has alot of damage to the beach area as well as the depth of the bays. Alot of foliage is missing also, but the structures are there and all of them survived.
At that time there was heavy machines working on the island including a dredging machine, a floating barge with shovel attached, a few catapillar type tractors, and a grinding machine.
Where the ship ties up there was a barge behind it digging sand out of the bay and placing it in a steal enclosed area behind the ship, just off the dock.
The dredging machine was in the bay and pumping sand to the other side of the roadway where a grinding machine was grinding it to make it soft and then they were placing it back on the beach with the heavy tractors. The tractors did not run while the ship was docked but the barge, dredger, and grinder were going.
Also on the adult beach there is about a 3 foot step from the beach to the water now and the water is also kind of steep going in. Certain spots were not as bad as others as you could tell where they had filled the sand back in.
For the storms that happened on the island the minor damage around was amazing, really expected much more problems. But it is still a great place to stop and enjoy. The damage did not hinder any of the activities on the island.
Have pictures but not sure how I can link them to the thread.
