Concourse Steakhouse???

Has anyone been to the Concourse Steakhous in the Contemporary Resort? How is the food? Is it kid friendly?

I was just going to post a thread on the CS, then I saw yours, so everyone... How is it?

We like the Concourse, and have always had excellent service and good food.
It is kid friendly, but since it is right next door to Chef Mickeys, and the characters enthusiasm sometimes is very audible, younger kids may be fidgety because they want to go next door. The restaurant is right below the monorail stop at CR, and it is fun to watch the trains come and go.

We have had breakfast and dinner there, and would recommend both. (never had lunch, but have heard they have the best burger on property at lunchtime).

I think this restarurant is a huge bargain under the MYW plan, and will probably become more popular as this plan grows.

I agree that this is a great restaurant. If you're looking for a good steak, we had some excellent ones there. Yes, it is kid friendly. Our kids both loved it. They're not big into character meals. We usually plan one during our trip and that's enough for them, so having Chef Mickey's next door wasn't a big distraction for them.

The Concourse Steakhouse is a favorite spot of mine because of a memorable meal my hubby and I had there. Just the two of us. We decided on the steakhouse and the kids went to the Neverland Club. It was a wonderful meal, great steaks and nice conversation. We also had an really good waiter.

We had breakfast on Easter and also lunch. Both meals were excellent. Have to agree with estnh. It's very hard for younger children to sit at Concourse and see the characters at Chef Mickey's. Several went to the edge of the restaurant and tried to call the characters not understanding that they really have to focus on the families that paid for the character dinner.

JudySue and I always considered the Concourse Steakhouse to be the most underrated restaurant on property. The only downside sometimes is the noise from Chef Mickey's.

We've had breakfast, lunch and dinner there. It's fabulous - I love watching the monorail whisk by. Yes, I would say it's totally kid friendly. The food and service are very good and the price is quite moderate as far as Disney restaurants go.

We go every trip for at least one meal.

The food is very good and it was a godsend when we would come dragging in from the parks without having eaten, but I think it's more like your local fancy steakplace. I would have to agree about Chef Mickey. Little ones can't miss it and will probably want to go there.

The Concouse Steak House has THE BEST steaks of anywhere at Disney. The atmosphere is not quite as quiet as some restaurants because of Chef Mickey's next door, but it is worth it for the prime rib

We've had breakfast and dinner there, and we enjoyed our meals very much. As for the noise from Chef Mickey's, it didn't seem to distract our Ds, he enjoyed watching the monorail glide by overhead. Dh says the Concourse has the best prime rib he's eaten at WDW (I've yet to get him to Yachtsman) We plan on going back for a few meals our next trip.

I can't comment on prime rib becuase I don't eat it, but I can comment on the tenderloins.

I've had a tenderloin at every WDW resturant that serves them (except the Brown Derby), and it's far from the best.

It's not bad, I'm not daying that, but it's not what I'd call world-class, excellent, or any other superlative.

HOWEVER, for the money, it's an excellent value.

We found service friendly and efficient.

The din from Chef Mickey's can be beyond distracting, and border on very annoying.

It's very kid/family friendly.
