This December trip, we would like to try new restaurants. How would you rate the Concourse Steakhouse? I have read some poor reviews. My boyfriend loves creamed spinach, which caught my eye when reviewing the menu. We would want to order steaks. The other alternatives for this night are The California Grill or Artist Point.

My DH and I enjoy the Steakhouse. That being said, it's really not any better or worse than say the Outback or Longhorn. If you are looking for a unique dining experience, I would go with one of your other choices, especially Cali Grill. If you are looking for some good steaks, the Steakhouse is for you. I can't speak for the creamed spinach but everything else I have had there is excellent.

We eat at Concourse every visit for at least the past 5 years & have yet to have a bad meal (or bad service for that matter).

DH is a real meat & potatoes kind of eater & is picky about his steaks - this is one of his favorite places... Filets have always been tasty & tender... and they also have steak on the kids menu (good size too & I think it was only about $8) for DS10 & as of Sept had a kid size shrimp cocktail for DS7 & kid size salads.

Good luck!

My husband likes creamed spinach as well, so I chose the Yachtsman Steakhouse over Shula's. I hope a made a good decision. We wanted a bit more upscale resturant as this will be our "just us" dinner :charac2: . The rest of the meals will be with friends, most with children.

I went to both the Concourse Steakhouse and the Yachtmens Steakhouse several times during my visit earlier this month and I have to suggest the Yachtmens Steakhouse. The atmosphere is more romantic and the food is better. The concourse steakhouse was a nice place for a quick bite but it is not romantic and because it is not enclosed (open to the lobby) it's a bit cold and impersonal feeling. Also, everytime we went there, there were birds flying around begging for food and stealing from peoples plates, which was odd in a buidling but they must fly in through the monorail passage and get stuck in there. I don't remember seeing creamed spinach on the menu but I wasn't looking for it either. The California Grill is wonderful and I highly recommend it above either the Concourse or the Yachtsmen Steakhouse.

I haven't eaten at Concourse Steakhouse for dinner (only breakfast) so I can't help you there, but I wanted to mention that I had really yummy creamed spinach at Le Cellier in Canada. And my Dh loves the steaks at Canada also.

Actually, I kind of doubt that you would be able to get a PS at California Grill for December at this point in time. The place is VERY popular.

We've had a couple of terrific dinners at the Concourse over the years. But, for creamed spinach I like the Yachtsman over at the YC.

We have always enjoyed Concourse Steakhouse for a nice breakfast before the MK...they have nice yogurt, a lovely fruit plate, and my favorite, Sticky Mickey which is a wonderful sticky-bun baked in a flowerpot shaped like Mickey. For dinner, we always enjoyed stopping in for their really good Caeser salad and french onion soup, I guess one reason that I like eating there is that the booth tables are sooooo wide that I have a good excuse to sit on the same side as my DH and we feel like we are on our honeymoon again...lol
Overall, we've always enjoyed our meals there, have never had anything bad and the service has been good. But I never really take others recommendations whether good or bad because we always like finding out our own opinions and our own favorites.

We have never had a bad meal at Concourse and we dine there several times a year. Have to say the filet and the prime rib are our favorite.

We like it for our arrival day. It's nice to get on the monorail and check out the resorts and shops and stop for a nice dinner. It's not "special" but it's comfortable and a nice end to a travel day :D
