How come I never read much here about the Concourse Steakhouse? What are your opinions of it? DH and I have been there 2 or 3 times and have enjoyed the food and the atmosphere both times. It never seems to be crowded and I never hear much about it on the boards. Has anyone been there lately? I have an ADR there for next week. I figured my DS (he'll be 1) would enjoy the monorail whizzing by. THANKS!

We ate bkft there when we stayed at the Cont in '02. Those sticky Mickey's are to die for. I can't speak about dinner since we didn't go.

We went last September and had a very good meal. We had a seafood bisque and filet mignon and I really enjoyed it. I didn't think the restaurant was anything to talk about as far as theming...the monorail does go by which is kind of neat but that's about it.

The Concourse Steakhouse is actually my DS's (12) favorite restaurant. When planning for our upcoming trip, I asked everyone where they would most like to eat and the Concourse won his vote.

He loves the CR (we are planning on staying there next year) so I thought that was his only reason, but he actually remembered exactly what he had and how good it was! He had the roasted chicken and claimed it was the best he'd ever had.

Prior to our last trip, he always asked to eat at the Rainforest. The Concourse changed that.

BTW, the rest of our party enjoyed our meals also. It was just nice to escape the MK and have a nice sit down meal in relative peace!!!!

we'll be arriving at WL late afternoon and I had originally planned dinner at WCC. But the more I look at the menu, the more underwhelmed I am. Maybe the boat to CR and dinner at Concourse? Everyone will be a little tired so I don't want to push. What do you think?

Yes, the decor is very "Disney in the 70s," but if you're looking for a good steak, the Concourse is one of the sleepers of WDW dining. The beef is as good as anything served at Le Cellier or the (heavily overrated) Yachtsman, and a much better value than either of those spots. Everything on the dinner menu at the Concourse is good, but the crown jewels are the Rib Eye or the Prime Rib.

We were in WDW in May and we ate at the Concourse Steakhouse and my DH and I and our 2 boys loved it. The food was really good and the service was wonderful. We were on the dining plan and we asked about the electric ice cube drinks for the boys and the CM said that we would have to pay extra so we said O.K. we would pay extra and when the bill came everything was put on the dining plan and we were not charged a thing. My kids also loved the desert...they got the sugar cookie shaped like Mickey that comes with 3 different icing colors and a paint brush and a few different sprinkles to decorate the cookies. They still talk about it and say they want to go back next time.

Le Celler was our best meal but Concourse Steakhouse was a close second.

The best meat in WDW is @ Le Cellier, but Concoourse isnt far behind. It's a dcent meal i've had one bad experience there but numerous good ones.

PS havnt ever been to Shula's in WDW

We love the Concourse Steakhouse. We actually love their breakfast and my husband loves the sticky mickeys. :thumbsup2 We've had dinner there a couple of times and it was delicious each time. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is great.

Enjoy!

We have eaten there before and thought the food was pretty good. It isn't one of our favorite places but we would eat there again without any second thoughts.

We've eaten lunch there and would go back in a heart beat.

I thoroughly agree this is one of those missed dining opportunities at Disney.

We had dinner there in January, and enjoyed our meals. The only issue that we had was that the meat was WAY undercooked. My son in law cannot abide rare rare steak, so he sent it back. The manager checked with our party to ensure that we were okay, and explained that the chef that day always was inder rather than over.

Thanks so much for your responses! I'm no longer having second thoughts! When we last were at Concourse, it seemed a little pricey, but now it seems like a great value compared to some of my other options in the immediate area (ie Narcoosees). Maybe that's why I don't hear too much about it... there's like no theming! I still think my son will like it. He loves watching people and cars and things. Perhaps I can request a table with a great view of the monorail!

Our experience was a little different....we ate there the end of January....and we are meat hounds! Gotta have it, and gotta have it rare and barely moving....DH commented that Le Cellier was definitely better. I had prime rib and it was nothing to write home about. The service was not that great and they were full, but did not seem overly busy. We may go back again but probably only if we were staying at CR.

We have never been to the Concourse, but plan on it for our November trip. What are the "electric ice cubes"?

We did lunch here once. Very good hamburgers. It was a nice break from the Magic Kingdom.

My DF and I love Concourse! We ate there for dinner twice our last trip and both times were great! Thier fillet is fantastic as well as almost all of their desserts :thumbsup2

My family also loves the Concourse. DS (4) wanted to go there over the character meals so for our next trip we will be having dinner there twice. My DH is also a big meat fan and his opinion is that the steaks are the best at Concourse.

Another vote for the Concourse. Have eaten breakfast and dinner there many times. We have always had good food and outstanding service! Can't wait to get back there in May.

They are "ice" cubes that light up - and come in different colors and can be turned on and off. I also got my first one at the CR bar on our last trip and tried to get as many as I could by the end of the trip. My DH has suggested just buying them, but that would be no fun :) He knows that on our upcoming trip I'll be trying to get as many as possible.

To make this thread related, we ate at the Concourse for the first time last trip and LOVED it! Service and food were great and we'll be back again this trip.
