We wanted to eat dinner in MK for our first day at WDW. We have an ADR for 5:10 and was just recommended by a CM that the Concourse Steakhouse had 5:30 available.

The CM seemed to feel that the Concourse Steakhouse was a better choice and said that it was "within walking distance of the Magic Kingdom".

Can anyone give me some input? We have a party of 12 so these ressie times are tough to come by...is the Contemporary REALLY within walking distance? Our childrens ages are 3, 5, 2-7's, 9 ...would this be too long of a walk? I know that she said that we could hop on the monorail and go right there as well. How much time would it take to get there?

Also, we wanted to catch Spectro Magic Parade that evening at 8:00pm. Would we have enough time to get back if we eat at the Concourse?

TIA!!! :flower:

The food is certainly much better at Concourse than at Tony's. The walk isn't far at all, but if you want time to line up for SpectroMagic, Tony's is more convenient.

The contemporary is about 5-10 minute leisurely walk from MK gates.

I've never been to Tony's so I can't comment on the food quality, but Concourse has pretty good food. If you get an ADR around 5:30/6pm, you should have plenty of time to get back to MK for spectro.

Concourse Steak House has alcohol, which you'll need after leading an expedition of 12 hungry diners. 'Nuff said.

Anything other than Tony's - we did not enjoy the food here AT ALL. My mother is a lady and the Tramp fan though end loved the atmosphere !

Concourse all the way! Tony's was undoubtedly the worst Italian food we have ever eaten!

Concourse Steakhouse is MUCH better....if you're too tired to walk you can always hop on the resort monorail!

Without a doubt, Concourse Steakhouse is a much better meal than Tony's. And after dinner, just hop on the monorail for a quick ride to the MK.

I ate at the Concourse Steakhouse and was unimpressed. The atmosphere is loud and right next door to Chef Mickeys. The food was ok, I didn't have a lot of complaints but I don't think it was worth the price we paid. The ambience in there was not anything special....no magic at this place.

As for Tony's Town Square, it is inside the MK so it's a little bit more on the "themed" side. However I wasn't overly impressed with their food either. I wouldn't go back to either one of these restuarants. :rolleyes1
