Just wondered what this restaurant is like? Can you see the monorail whilst you're seated? Thought it might amuse my 2.5 year old DS and keep him in his chair longer! ;)

Thanks

Although you can see the monorail ride through, the Concourse is scheduled to close soon. I don't remember exactly when, but I think that it will be early next year. :(

Yes, you can see the monorail. IN fact my DD (2-1/2) saw it EVERYTIME it came through; she made a point of mentioning it each time. ;)

I think it is closing in February or March, so your November trip should be fine.

The schedule says it's suppsot to close in April 2008, however someone has reported the Contemporary has just now filed the permits to Orange Couny for building of the Waive where the Food & Fun Center use to be. So this means construction on the Waive has not started and when it opens that is when the Concourse Steakhouse is set to close, so they can open up Chef Mickey's Express over there. Basically it could be another 6 more months until the Concourse Steakhouse closes from it's original plan.

Well, right now I have ADRs there for Jan, so hopefully it will be after our trip it closes!

Does anyone know why exactly it is closing? I had no idea, it is on my list for our next trip (which apparently is after it ceases to exist). :sad1:

Because the Food & Fun Center is location is becoming the Waive, which is going to replace the Concourse Steakhouse. So because of that the Concourse Steakhouse area will be the new counter service location and it's going to be named Chef Mickey's Express.
