DW and I are taking a quick 3-day trip to the World without the kids (a first for us!) and are looking for some romantic places to eat. We did make ADR for the Concourse Steakhouse, San Angel Inn, and Chefs de France. Any opinions about these three restaurants? Others we should try? We tried to make our choices based on food selection (allearsnet.com menus) and places that the kids might not enjoy. Thanks! :smickey:

If it were me I would consider Yachtsman over Concourse - the atmosphere at Concourse is not really all that "romantic", Yachtsman, on the other hand, well I can say we certainly enjoy a small table by the window overlooking Stormalong Bay. Coupled with a great steak and a tasty bottle of wine, well it's hard to beat. I can't remember the $$$ difference between the two (if that is a consideration), but I'll say there probably isn't too terribly much difference in cost. I understand Le Cellier can also be a nice place for two. Flying Fish at BW is also an idea for you-its a nice place and the food is great.

If you can get a table by the water (tough for 2 people) San Angel Inn is very nice. We went to Bistro de Paris on Valentine's Day a few weeks ago. What a nice surprise. Who would ever think such a place existed in a theme park. Totally different atmosphere from the restaurant downstairs. Our food was wonderful and it was very romantic.

We ate at both the Concourse and the Yachtsman Steakhouse and by far the Yachtsman is much nicer. But as far as price goes...we were on the dining plan and Yachtsman is 2 TS credits and Concourse is only 1 so that tells you right there. Our dinner was a little over 100.00 for 2 at the Concourse...that included appetizers, we both had filet mignon and desserts and coffee. It was very good but wouldn't call it a romantic restaurant. When we went to the Yachtsman we had appetizers, filet mignon and lobster tail, dessert and coffee and our total bill was over 180.00. It was very good there also and the atmosphere I would have to say is nicer. I haven't eaten at the San Angel Inn but I think that looks like the most romantic place I have seen but haven't heard very good reviews about the food. Hope this helps! Have a good trip!

I personally think California Grill at the Contemporary is very romantic.
Plus you have a great view of the the MK fireworks.

For ambiance Yachtsman is better than Concourse, but quality of food and service about the same.

Given the chance I would definitely take Bistro instead of Chefs; there is less bustle and no special children's menu.

I have to say that I have had much better service and atmosphere at the Concourse Steakhouse than at the Yachtsman Steakhouse. Twice my Dh and I have been seated at a table for two that is next to a loud serving area. Once they then seated a table of children only next to us including two in high chairs. The parents had to come over and bend down putting you know what  right in our face in order to feed the kids.

While the atmosphere at the Concourse can get a little loud (not as loud at the yachtsman IMHO) the tables are set further apart and are sheltered abit.
We have found going a little bit later (7:30 -8:00) tends to cut down on the noise from Chef Mickeys.

We like the Concourse Steakhouse, but it is NOT very romantic. It is right next to Chef Mickeys and can get incredibly loud. It is also in a wide open lobby and is not very intimate.

The Yachtsman is a better atmosphere, but we have not had much luck there as far as food or service. We have been there twice and both times it was terrible.

The California Grill is a good choice, or if you want a steakhouse, we love Schulas!
