Concourse Steakhouse or LeCellier?

Yes. They are moving the restaurant down to where the Food and Fun Center is and turning it into an Asian themed restaurant named "Wave" or something like that. They are then turning the area where the CS is right now into a counter service place. Horrible huh? :sad1: :sad2:
Well if the Concourse Steakhouse is moving to where the Food & Fun Center is then they need a place to move the Food & Fun Center, so I don't see anything wrong with that location being used for counter service. Besides once it re-opens up there the name will be changing to Chef Mickey's Express and since others did not like the Food & Fun Center that much, I see the new location as a fresh start.

I would be fine with the moving of CS if they weren't changing the menu!

Well it's hard to keep the name as the Concourse Steakhouse, since they won't be on the 4th floor Grand Canynon Concourse Level. So I guess they thought if they are changing the name then why not start fresh and change the menu.

For us, no comparison.

Le Cellier was the best meal all trip long. My pork chop with cream cheese mashed potatoes was heavenly and the chocolate cake for dessert was great.
The other two members in the party LOVED their steaks and creme brulee.

Concourse Steakhouse was easily the worst meal all trip long.

My chicken wasn't that good (Sunshine Seasons and Tusker House had FAR better) and the other two members hated their steak. The desserts were good.

Le Cellier...DEFINITELY! :thumbsup2

we tried Concourse for lunch on Saturday, and what a disappointment! we had tried for a dinner seating but couldn't get the times we were looking for so we settled for lunch. I was surprised at the menu selection (or what I felt was a lack thereof), and we ended up with well done burgers that took FOREVER! also, it seems like the creme brulee at the TS we ate at this trip wasn't as good. We had it here, and it wasn't really creamy, it had a weird grainy consistency that I wasn't expecting. It was the same at brown derby...luckily, the creme we had at WPE and Boulangerie Patisserie was totally up to par!

PS- Did I mention the slow service as well??!? Definitely try to get into Le Cellier whether it's for lunch or dinner- it's soooo worth it and I've never had a bad meal there!

If you are basing it on who has the better steak...Concourse wins by a landslide. We had ADRs for both places on our last trip. Le Cellier use to be my favorite restaurant in all of Disney. Well until now...don't know what happened but besides the atmosphere, everything changed. And definitely not for the better. We don't even have plans to make a Le Cellier ADR for our upcoming trip...

You know what's funny? I've never eaten at either, yet I am ready to give my suggestion based on reading the Dis religiously for several months.

And then I am like, "No, Kristen, you can't chime in, you haven't eaten at them (yet)."

I just thought that was funny. I FEEL like I have eaten at pretty much every place in WDW because everyone gives such wonderful reviews.

Ha...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Thats toooooo funny.... I was thinking the same thing.

My vote is Le Cellier, but I haven't eaten there.... I will be though this August. Got my ADR baby.

We agree, we ate at LeCellier in Oct '06 thought it was great, but it was loud and very busy. Then we ate at Concourse last week and loved it much better than LeCellier. It was very relaxing, quite and the steaks were even better than LeCellier. It's now one our "can't miss".:thumbsup2

I my opinion the best steak at wdw is at Jiko. That being said I found the steaks comparable at both places, but we loved the desserts at Le Cellier. The main reason we will be eating there on june trip are the desserts, oh and love:love: the ice wine!
