Concourse Steakhouse - Is it good?

I'm helping a friend with her ADRs and they want a GOOD steak restaurant that only costs 1 TS credit. My family's favorite is LeCellier. They are going Memorial Day week so there are no dinner ADRs left. I've never been to Concourse...what is it like? How does it compare to LeCellier? Would you suggest somewhere else?

It will be closed. Councourse is shutting its doors on 5/10/08.

I really enjoyed my meal there BTW.

Well we love them both equally, but we like different things from each. My family likes the steaks at Le Cellier, but we dont like there soup and bread or apetizers. And at Concourse, the steaks were slightly less tasty (but still great) than Le Cellier, but the appetizers (ONION RINGS!) were the best ive ever had in my life. So in my conclusion, i think they both have there great points, and there not-so-great points, but they are both delicious!

I love this place so much, and I can't believe it's going
What's even sadder, is that we can't eat there one more time before it leaves
They have great steak - love the filet

I'm sorry your friend can't go - they would have loved it!!!!

For good. The Contemporary's Food and Fun Center will replace it.

A new TS called The Wave will open in the Food and Fun Center's old location.

I believe they are doing this to answer complaints that having a nice Steakhouse next to CM takes away a little ambiance.

Plus think of the $$$$$ they'll rake in at the Arcade when its next to CM.

The Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club has steaks on the menu. Never been there, but I've heard good things.

Actually the new counter service location that is moving into the Concourse Steakhouse location will be called Chef Mickey's Express.

Also the arcade re-opened last year on the opposite side of the 4th floor where the old Fantasia store use to be, so it's not right next to Chef Mickey's.

Really!

We had our adr's mess up at Boma and the concierge got us ressies and a free cab ride to The Councourse.

The Server told us they shared some kitchen space with the CG, and the quality/grade of the meat was comparable.

At CG you are paying for the ambiance, view, # of servers.

We had one of our best meals ever in our trips to WDW.

I am sorry to see it go.

I don't eat steak, but my dh and other family members raved about the steak at Coral Reef.
