Concourse Steakhouse (at Contemporary Resort) expected to close permanently approximately March or April 2008.

Taken from MS:

Food and Fun Center (Contemporary Resort) expected to close soon and remain closed approximately through 8/14/08 and Concourse Steakhouse (Contemporary Resort) expected to close permanently approximately March or April 2008. Major changes are planned the resort's restaurants. A table service location called The Wave will open in the old Food and Fun Center location approximately March or April 2008. A new counter service restaurant will open in the old Concourse Steakhouse location approximately 8/14/08. During all this construction a temporary counter service location (Tempo Grab and Go) will be open near the Outer Rim Lounge on the 4th floor.

Of course it is, it's all part of a Disney conspiracy to shut down all of my favorite breakfast spots.

Tony's Town Square - No more b'fast
Bonfamille's - Gone
Tangarora Terrace (sp?) @ Poly - Closed
Concourse - Going, going........

That means Yacht Club Galley, Spoodles or Trails End are next, mark my words. I'm not paranoid, they really are out to get me!!

We walked through the CR last Thursday on our way to rent a pontoon boat - they were putting up temporary walls in the middle of the 4th floor between the gift shop and the new site of the arcade - I was wondering if that might be the location for the temporary quick service - so it looks like they are moving on it!

For what its worth... I read a lot on the Dis...

But in the DVC forums there is speculation about building a DVC resort at Contemp. and that they will eventually open up a great 1TS place that will replace Concourse Steakhouse - but with the same ideals and menu types of Concourse... it all takes time, and gives us a reason to go back to wdw!!

Sorry to be a negative Nancy, but the first thing that comes to mind is good riddance!!

I for one will be sorry to see it go. I have great memories of sitting there and
watching the monorail whiz by waving to the occupants. DH and I ate there
this past Jan. and I guess that was the last time. I'm glad I wasn't aware of
it or I would have been sad.
