Concierge?

Please tell me about your experiences (good & bad)with the concierge levels of the deluxe resorts. Saving like mad and would like to do this next year with my family(5 of us)

As you can see from my signature we have stayed Poly concierge twice. We LOVE it! The first time we went we upgraded because it was our 10th anniversary so we thought we'd splurge, you know the "once in a lifetime" kind of thing. Well now we are spoiled and can't imagine not being concierge. I love the itinerary planners. They booked golf for dh, reservations for the Luau, Hoop De Doo and character meals. Each time we got exactly the times and locations we wanted. In fact we could not have had better seats for the Luau and Hoop De Doo, not sure if it's because concierge booked it or not but my guess it that staying concierge made a difference.

The food offerings in the morning have always been plenty for us for breakfast. If we were back during the evening snacks those were always nice. It was nice to be able to grab a soda anytime we wanted and a cookie (or 2).

We are looking forward to trying AKL Concierge (although DS is upset that he won't get to swim in the volcano pool or be as close to the monorail). I think once he sees the animals he'll forget his disappointment!

Poly concierge was wonderful; BC concierge was so-so. I say this based on atendants, lounge offerings and the lounge itself.

We stayed at GF last year and although concierge was nice as far as check in and it was nice to have food provided, I didn't think it was worth the $900 extra overall. We are doing it without concierge this year, so we will see. I don't think it would be wise financially to have concierge and the dining plan. You would have WAY too much food available!
