I applied for it, should be interesting to see as I have expeience in this area. This would probably be my number one choice, I would love the face to face interaction.
Concierge in the hotels is a lot like guest relations in the park. You will spend most of your time making dining reservations for guests, answering questions, and taking care of guests who have problems. Lots of selling park tickets too. Depending on which resort you work concierge at you could also be part of the team that escorts families to their rooms when they check it.
This is my first pick, now i would love to be in the parks, because it is well the parks, but I have a feeling that I will spending more than enough time in the parks when I am off!!
I've done it before and it's the best job I've ever had. I loved every minute of it. Wish it paid better because I'd love to do it full time! We also got a lot of free stuff (restaurant reviews, hard ticket events, merchandise); I miss that part of it a lot
Your experience will differ depending on your resort, but every resort trains together and the facilitators I had were out of this world great. My class bonded really tightly even though none of us worked together.
Anyways, they hire very few concierge CPs, so previous hotel experience/major is almost a must. If you don't have experience, they can put you in hospitality and you can ask your leaders to be cross-trained in concierge.
