OK, I am now very curious on why everyone is so thrilled with the concierge at the deluxe resorts.

From what I read you get a continental breakfast, some afternoon snacks, a little wine and cocktail food in the evening. If I am missing any food, please tell me.

As services go - they make PS for you.

After reading this I am not sure if the money ($50-60 a night with discount codes) is worth the little extras.

Please tell me what I am missing?

I have staye at the majority of Deluxe resorts on WDW and a lot of 4-5 Star hotels around the country andI am not sure what the concierge level would get us for the $$$.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

Concierge can make all of your ps for you and most of the time will also get you into any hard to get meals.

These are the food offerings at the YC concierge in August 2002

Breakfast (the same every morning)
Cookies, 3 types of Krispy Kreme donuts, croissants, white and wheat bread, bagels, instant oatmeal and grits, cut up and whole fruit, cereal, butter, cream cheese and light cream cheese. Drinks were OJ, Cranberry and grapefruit juices.

11:30am –3pm
Popcorn, pretzels, carrots and celery with dip, chocolate pudding, chips and salsa, fruit rollups, boxes of raisins, bacon wrapped breadsticks, fresh whole fruit.

Soda available is coke, diet coke, sprite and ginger ale.

From 3:30-4:30pm they added a cake and some other desserts

These are the items they had every night from 5-7pm
Cheese tray, mini corn dogs, veggie tray, whole fruit, pb&j, cookies, celery with peanut butter and veggie wraps.

These are the items that changed every night
Jalapeno poppers, bbq chicken in pastry cups, rice sushi, grilled veggies, ham & cheese wraps, scallops wrapped in bacon, vegetable sushi, chinese dumplins, mini quiches, red and white wines

From 8-10pm there were a few cordials out, a cake and mini desserts

I like the fact that you can get up and just go to the lounge for breakfast so that you don't have to worry about making a ps somewhere or taking time from the parks.

If we go to have breakfast somewhere it will usually cost us between $20-$40 depending on where we go for 2 adults and 2 kids. So it's definitely worth it for us.

When we go back to the parks for a break we just grab some snacks and bring them to the room for the kids. We asked for a big bottle of water every night and had it in our room for when we wanted it. Coffee is available from 6am until the lounge closes.

I like the fact that we don't have to stand in line at check in, you have your own personal front desk vs going to the main front desk where there sometimes can be long lines.

Plus much more.

for the answer. I didn't realize the amount of food that was available. WE may have to look at it for future trips.
:p

The $ more for concierge is per room. It depends on the resort on what the food offerings are and the amount over a non concierge room.
