Concierge upsell

Staying at AKL in August. Any chance that we'll get the opportunity at check-in to upgrade to concierge at a reduced cost? I seem to remember being asked that question before and (stupidly) turning it down.

I tried once there and got quoted a fortune. It was basically the difference between by discounted room and a full price concerige. (I passed!)

We tried at the AKL in March and was given a huge amount also it was like 350.00 more a night on top of what we paid!!! But when we stayed at the WL in May 2003 we were upgraded for 40.00 more a night which was very well worth it. It won't hurt to ask.

It seems like it's the luck of the draw. I could afford another $100/night but $300 is too steep for our budget. Sigh.

Last July we went on the 7 for 4 deal to WL. Booked a strandard room and requested bunks near Roaring Forks. When we got there they offered concierge for $50 per night. We thought that was a good price especially from standard. I would ask for sure if they don't offer. We also had friends who went this May and were in WL I think courtyard view and they got concierge for $50 per night also. That wasn't as good since their room price was already higher with the courtyard view. Enjoyed the concierge and probably saved some on food with it. Now we are DVC members going "home" for the first time.
