Concierge Service - Pre-cruise call?

Hi Everyone

I have a question for those of you that have stayed in a Cat 1, 2 or 3 room. I've read postings that imply that a pre-cruise call was made by the concierge staff to setup various reservations. However, the people at DCL seemed to think that a pre-cruise letter went out to concierge cruisers and not a phone call.

Does anyone have any experience with this topic?

we were on the Wonder last summer and didn't get a call or a letter....although we did call DCL ourselves to order a table for 4 and it was guaranteed to us as concierge guests...
but that was the only advance benefit we received..
but maybe it's different on the Magic...

We were on the March 15th cruise in a Cat 3 and we received a letter a couple of weeks before the cruise to let us know who to contact for our pre-cruise concierge services. The only pre-cruise reservations you can make are for Palo. We also requested a specific dinning rotation and a table in the center of the room, because on our last two cruises we always seem to be stuck in the back corner. They said they would put in the request but could not guarantee it, but we did get the rotation we wanted. We did not really like the table we were assigned so we asked to be moved and they moved us to a wonderful table in the center of the room.

If you have not received a letter yet, I would contact guest services and ask if they can give you the number.

We have been on 3 cruises and all were in a category 1 (once on the Magic and twice on the Wonder) and we never got a call or a letter prior to the cruise from the concierge team but don't worry because they handled all our needs when we boarded the ship.

We didn't receive a letter, or call. So I called our TA, and they gave me the phone # for concierge(sp?). Debbie was wonderful, took care of all of our reservations! The # I called was:1-407-566-7411. The # for excursions is407-566-7412. her name is also Debbie, and was just as great !
