I understand that the concierge staff can make reservations for you at some of the restaurants during your stay. Let's say we wing it and do not do ps's prior to our arrival. What are the chances that once we get there and want to do BB for dessert that we are able to get in? Can concierge work magic and get guests in?

A good chance is probably not. If all the ressie's have been taken for a particular time or day, the only way you are going to get in is with a cacellation. Last August nthere were a number of people turned away from BB during the time we were eating there. They were told to try again in a couple of days. We have never found winging it during the busy times very productive..concierge or not. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I think I will make some ps's now before we go and if we use them great and if we don't, we don't.

I would definitely make them especially for BB and any character meals. For that matter, also at DTD, those restaurants get really crowded, we were so glad we had a reservation at Naples as I overheard the wait was an hour. I used to wiat and make them when I got there, but no more. And I saw them turning away walkups left and right when we were there in June for Cafe Orleans, which is where all the turned away walkups head after they are turned down at BB! That was a busy time however, not sure when your trip is!

The non character meals at the resort are easier to get into. We were able to walk in at Hook's Pointe one night no problem.

On this trip I will definitely make my ps way in advance by calling disney dining myself.
The CM at BB had a hard time finding the ressie Vacation Planning made for us.
She said the BB computers and VP's computer systems don't "jive" so sometimes ressies are lost. So if the concierge computers are the same system VP uses, I'd just make them myself.

I love the planning of our trips so making ressies for me is so much fun!
Which restaurant, which day, what time!
good times..... good times.....

Probably a great idea. We always make too many ressie's, better to have too many than get disappointed.

I agree! It's better to have too many and cancel, than to be bummed out that you can't dine at the restaurant everyone wants.
Last year I had a ressie at Rainforest Cafe for 8pm(the park closed at 8pm so I figured it was the perfect time to eat).
My SIL didn't know I had the 8pm time already. She called Disney dining that morning to try and book a dinner ressie and all they had was a 9:30pm. Who wants to eat dinner that late?
She was so glad that I booked it way ahead of time.

I programmed Disney dining's phone number into my cell phone so if I needed to cancel or add a ressie I could do it without pulling out my list of disney numbers.
