I'm considering our first trip to see DL this year and have been a prior concierge guest at the Poly at WDW. Can someone please tell me what the concierge service is like and what do they give you at this level at DL hotel.
Thanks so much

I don't have a list of things but I can tell you it's no where near what you get at the Polynesian at WDW.

For this reason we decided not to go with concierge at DL when we go next year.

Now you've really got me curious. You say there is no comparison but please tell me what they do give you to help me decide what I should do.
Thanks

Nightly turned down service.
continental breakfast
snacks (chips, pretzels, etc) during the day and non alcoholic drinks
evening wine and cheese not hot items just wine and cheese.

priority check in and check out.

That is it.

Do they have a separate lounge like the Poly at WDW? Are the drinks available throughout the day and you just go and get it when you need it?
You mentioned the wine and cheese in the evening but do they also have some desserts? The Poly has the wine and cheese but also a few small desserts and crackers as well.
Thanks

We stayed in a conceirge suite at the DL hotel Thanksgiving week.

Yes, there was nightly turn-down service, priority check-in service, and wine and cheese as josierac mentioned.....and, to answer your question, yes there is a separate lounge, with a private glass elevator from the outside of the building. My kids thought that was *cool*!!!!

Also...

We had *continental* breakfast daily, which included an assortment of pastries, bagels, fruits, cereals, Krispie Kreme donuts, juices, coffee, tea, hot chocolate (with unlimited marshmellows- VERY important to the kids :p ). We found the breakfast to be more than adequate for our family of 5......

Open access to drinks during the day - waters, juices and sodas...which we stocked up on daily and saved lots of $$$$ by NOT purchasing drinks in the parks....

Cookies, crackers, nuts, pretzels (my kids would make *trail mix*...), cheeses, chips and salsa, WINE (even *to go* in LARGE plastic cups....:smooth: ....but you can't take it on the monorail, so you have to *drink up* before you get on)

Drinks/snacks for viewing the fireworks out the big sliding-glass-door-windows that they opened up.....if you want to watch the fireworks from the lounge, try to get there in time for a window-side seat....

The concierge helped us with dinner reservations for us in several occasions.....and we found the staff to be very helpful overall. We were able to take advantage of the special 4-nights-for-the-price-of-3 deal this fall...and we felt that we got a fair deal for what we paid for the room and services we received.

Thanks so much for this additional info, it's exactly what I wanted to know!! I always think it's worth the extra $$$$ to stay concierge because you save on drinks alone and I believe to start off the day with a good breakfast helps, especially when you have kids.
Thanks again

I'm really considering going but it will be in the summer. We've gone to WDW 6 years in a row so I'd really like to experience Disney in Calif.
